Photography is Truth

I love photography. I’ve chosen to use it primarily on wedding days and other significant events because of the great sense of satisfaction I feel having frozen, potentially forever, true and genuine moments that could otherwise be lost as memories fade, as if they never existed. This is, to me, the essence of photography and what compels me forward in my craft and my career.

The robust and talented community of wedding, portrait, and family photographers in Tucson makes your choice a tough one. I encourage shopping around and comparing photographic styles, but the best way to pick the right one is to meet in person to see if you “click”. I’d love to meet you!

Tucson is my home, where I fell in love with photography and where I capture the majority of wedding days and family portraits. However, I am available for travel worldwide. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing weddings in the Phoenix area, Flagstaff, Tubac and Sedona over the last 10 years, and I would be more than happy to photograph elopements and destination weddings anywhere in the world.

Thanks for visiting!

Of all the vendors we had to deal with Evan was the best and most reassuring. A few things went wrong with our flowers, cake and food but Evan was early, flexible, creative and overall just amazing. He made our night one to remember and I have beautiful photos that captured the best day of my life!!

"Absolutely Awesome"

Evan was absolutely awesome. He had soo many great ideas for pictures, but also let us give our own ideas for some nice shots. He made the picture portion of our wedding go very smooth and we are grateful. We recommended him to a coworker who is also getting married at Saguaro Buttes. - Michael - Facebook

Weddings

The motion, emotion, and the feelings of anticipation and excitement are just a few of the things I love about photographing wedding days. 10 years of experience helps put me in the right place at the right time, and my camera is constantly at my eye, waiting for the next “decisive moment”. I’d love to buy you a coffee and talk about your wedding day plans.

Engagements

Engagement Sessions are my favorite way to get to know couples before their wedding. The vibe is no-rush, casual, and fun. I typically schedule sessions for just before golden hour, and they can be split up between multiple locations. Engagement sessions are also included in all but my base wedding package.

Families

With two little boys of my own, I know family photos with little ones can be a challenge! Family sessions are always a no-rush situation. I often start by letting kids play, while following them around with the camera, before moving on to posed shots. To keep kids’ attention, I do not hesitate to be a goofball and make a fool of myself! And when posed shots prove impossible (which is very rare), I try to capture families interacting naturally (running, playing, talking, tickle fights, etc.)

Graduates

Whether graduating from high school or earning a degree in higher education, this is such a huge accomplishment and an important moment in your life. Congrats! Senior portrait sessions are super fun, relaxed, outdoors, in the best light of the day.

Maternity & Newborns

I approach maternity portrait sessions much like engagement sessions, just with a bit more emphasis on the bump. 🙂 The photos of my wife and I when she was pregnant with our firstborn are some of my most treasured photographs, and I love capturing them for other moms & dads. Newborn shoots are often done in-home, where the baby is most comfortable. There’s a lot of cuddling, holding, and kissing the baby by mom, dad, and older siblings.
